Corrie Lynn is a 125-year-old farm in the Dargie Valley, with its evergreen lawns and sloping hills. The pastures are grazed by a herd of Nguni cattle, that are free range and organic. We also have our growing flock of Dohne Merino sheep, gently grazing in the field. Located on the Midlands Meander route, Corrie Lynn is the ultimate location for weddings and functions and offers a unique and affordable countryside experience.
We have a selection of wedding venues suited for your rustic ceremony. Our open-sided chapel overlooking the breath-taking views of the farmland is perfect for farm weddings which bring an earthy and simplistic style to the venue. Or if you require a more idyllic setting, our emerald farm lawns are ideal for country weddings, influenced by the surrounding nature.
Have your reception in our old wood and iron barn, that has a leisurely atmosphere and includes hand-made wooden tables and benches, and some chairs. The décor, flowers, and catering are arranged by you to suit your own individual style and budget.
Corrie Lynn offers a variety of self-catering accommodation. Our lodge is ideal for those special family reunions, it has 6 bedrooms that sleep 15 guests and 3 comfortable sleeper couches. The lounge has a warm fireplace for those cold valley nights and glass doors leading onto the veranda. Our 5-sleeper cottage has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, including a cosy sleeper couch in the living area.
Guests can enjoy activities on the farm, including scenic walks through the 700-acre farmlands, fishing in the dams and in the Umgeni River which makes up one of the farm’s boundaries, bird watching, mountain biking, and tubing down the river.
Corrie Lynn are also craft members with a small furniture workshop and showroom, situated in the farm yard. Visitors to our establishment can see how the furniture is made and to view pieces on show.
We are one the best venue hosts in KwaZulu-Natal for weddings.
